IM to MajorityReport 16-060916-Unregulated capitalism, unlimited profit, extreme tax relief

Hi Sam Seder (, thanks for the informative interview today with Rebecca Gordon. Profit making through increased prison populations must end. The constant force pushing against financial reform represented by groups like ALEC and the US Chamber of Commerce funded by 1%ers like Sheldon Adelson, Pete Peterson and the Koch brothers has led to a state of unregulated capitalism via legislation against limiting profit through tax mechanisms. When maximizing profit has no tax limitations the private prison, civilian firearm, both public and private surveillance industries and military industrial complex all thrive exponentially. A mutually beneficial balance among government, private industry, and individual citizen is always difficult to achieve but we are currently tilted much too heavily toward the private industry elites holding a majority of  the nation’s wealth. President Obama could provide a major relief valve to the societal pressure building up by this imbalance by telling Bernie Sanders today that he will eliminate the need for a legalize marijuana platform plank which he promises by removing cannabis from the schedule of controlled substances and the federal proscriptions of its commerce before the end of his term.
